Pennacchio, who will be remembered for winning a pair of Listed Races during the 2010 Brisbane Winter Carnival, has produced her first foal, a colt by High Chaparral.
Pennacchio won both the BRC Myer Spear Chief Handicap-LR (1500m) and Tatt’s Centenary Classic Mile-LR (1600m) for trainer Andrew Scott in 2010. In all she won 8 races, was placed 3 times and earned prize money of NZ$218,421.
On retirement Pennacchio was purchased by Nearco Stud Ltd and sent to Australia to be mated with High Chaparral. The attractive daughter of Align returned to NZ earlier this year and is these days based at Gordon Cunningham’s Curraghmore Stud.
Pennacchio is booked to Zabeel.
