The Group Three and Listed Race-winning mare Our Joan of Arc has produced her first foal, a colt by the Coolmore shuttler Mastercraftsman.
Our Joan of Arc is owned by Nearco Stud and produced her colt at Gordon Cunningham’s Curraghmore Stud on Friday night without complications.
By Beautiful Crown from a Bluebird mare, Our Joan of Arc won both the VRC Maribyrnong Plate-Gr.3 & AJC Gimcrack Stakes-LR at two and was a runner in Phelan Ready’s Golden Slipper Stakes of 2009.
The colt is part of the first Southern Hemisphere crop of Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer) who shuttles to Windsor Park Stud in Cambridge. The grey won two Group One races as a juvenile and added another two Group One victories at three.
Our Joan of Arc will visit Zabeel in the coming weeks.
