Stakes-placed relative of Waverley Star to Shocking

Dream By Day with Michael Walker in the saddle after winning at Riccarton Park in August 2007

Shocking is proving a very popular newcomer stallion for Rich Hill Stud.  Adrian Clark Bloodstock manages four mares which are booked to the dual Group One-winning son of Street Cry.

Amongst them is Dream By Day (City on a Hill ex Russian Slice, by Godswalk), a close relative of the Champion 2YO of her year, Moonshine.  Dream By Day is also from the same family as Waverley Star – his 13 wins included the AJC Chipping Norton Stakes and he was also the closest of seconds to Bonecrusher in the Cox Plate.

Dream By Day won 4 races from the stable of Kevin Hughes at Riccarton Park.  She was stakes placed second in the CJC NZB Airfreight Stakes-LR and fourth in two other Listed Races.

The first foal from Dream By Day, a colt by Stravinsky, will be offered from the consignment of Cambridge Stud at next year’s Karaka Premier Sale.
