Apt comment from Roger James

Class racemare Avisto (Tavistock ex Miraculous Miss, by Exceed and Excel) had an exhibition gallop between races at Te Rapa yesterday and I was dazzled by her condition.

Not only does she have a stunning coat but she has thickened up since her earlier career which saw her win three black type races in a row.

As trainer Roger James aptly stated, “I’ve got much more to work with now”.

Avisto galloped over 1000m yesterday with stablemate Tavy (also a SW by Tavistock), clocking around 1.05, the last 600m in a tick under 36 seconds.

Both now four-year-0ld mares will step out at Taupo tomorrow week in the Leicester-Lowry 50th Anniversary Cup, a Rating 75 event over 1300m.
